Job Vacancy: ICT Officer - Helpdesk
Salary Offering: $7,850.00 About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive ICT Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide operational support for the organization's ICT infrastructure, ensuring seamless day-to-day functioning of hardware, software, networks, and related services. Reporting to the ICT Manager, this role is vital in maintaining the integrity, security, and efficiency of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain ICT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and peripherals.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Ensure the security of ICT systems by maintaining measures to prevent unauthorized access and other threats.
  • Troubleshoot networking issues and document systems, configurations, and procedures.
  • Assist with the installation and troubleshooting of software and hardware.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of ICT assets and equipment.
  • Log and manage help desk interactions, ensuring timely resolution of technical queries.
  • Guide end-users with technical issues and follow standard help desk procedures.
  • Support the setup and maintenance of audio-visual equipment, including projectors.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the ICT Manager to meet organizational needs.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • Professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an IT Helpdesk Service environment.
    • Proven expertise in ICT support, system administration, and networking.
    • Familiarity with audio-visual equipment is an advantage.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Strong technical knowledge of IT systems and networks.
    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
    • Proactive and adaptable to changing priorities and business needs.
