Mission :
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Construction Manager to oversee and manage the construction aspects of our photovoltaic projects. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Spanish and English and have a strong background in managing construction teams and ensuring the successful execution of large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and safety standards.
- Lead and manage a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring coordination across all phases of the project.
- Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications.
- Monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular safety meetings and audits.
- Coordinate with the Site Quality Manager to ensure that quality control measures are met on-site.
- Review and approve construction plans, schedules, and budgets, and communicate progress to key stakeholders.
- Manage procurement and delivery of construction materials and equipment to the site.
- Review and approve work performed by subcontractors, ensuring that it meets project specifications and quality standards.
- Provide regular reports to senior management and clients, detailing progress, challenges, and solutions.
Requirements :
- Academic Background : Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience : Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on large-scale projects (preferably in the renewable energy or construction sector).
- Languages : Fluent in both English and Spanish (required).
Technical Skills :
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, project management, and building codes.
- Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, contracts, and technical specifications.
Personal Skills :
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Result-oriented, proactive, and capable of making quick decisions to keep the project on track.
