Client Overview :
Our client is an international engineering company that provides engineering and consulting services and invests in projects focusing on Renewable Energies and environmental sustainability.

Mission :
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Construction Manager to oversee and manage the construction aspects of our photovoltaic projects. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Spanish and English and have a strong background in managing construction teams and ensuring the successful execution of large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and safety standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring coordination across all phases of the project.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications.
  • Monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular safety meetings and audits.
  • Coordinate with the Site Quality Manager to ensure that quality control measures are met on-site.
  • Review and approve construction plans, schedules, and budgets, and communicate progress to key stakeholders.
  • Manage procurement and delivery of construction materials and equipment to the site.
  • Review and approve work performed by subcontractors, ensuring that it meets project specifications and quality standards.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management and clients, detailing progress, challenges, and solutions.

Requirements :

  • Academic Background : Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience : Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on large-scale projects (preferably in the renewable energy or construction sector).
  • Languages : Fluent in both English and Spanish (required).

Technical Skills :

    • Strong knowledge of construction processes, project management, and building codes.
    • Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, contracts, and technical specifications.

Personal Skills :

    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
    • Result-oriented, proactive, and capable of making quick decisions to keep the project on track.
