Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana - Georgetown

The Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana, (THAG) is an umbrella body for allied, tourism and hospitality operations including- accommodation facilities – hotels and interior resorts, restaurants, tour operators, tour guides, domestic and international air carriers, bars, transportation providers, travel agencies, tourism consultants, gift and craft shops.
The organisation was established in January 6, 1992 by a group of committed individuals who were willing to pool their resources and skills to promote the development of a Tourism industry in Guyana. Today, the Association has a growing membership base spanning a range of tourism services across the country and continues to be the leading private sector tourism organization in Guyana.

of Guyana is a voluntary organisation managed by an Executive Council, elected annually by its Membership at the Annual General Meeting.
As a major stakeholder, THAG collaborates with the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, the Guyana Tourism Authority among others to promote Guyana as a destination, and encourage the delivery of quality service across the sector.
THAG is an executive member of the Private Sector Commission of Guyana and regionally is a member of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association.
